Dr. Bronson Hamada, OD

Huntington Beach, CA

Dr. Bronson W. Hamada is a highly accomplished optometrist who is based in Southern California. He received his education at California State University, Fullerton, and later at Indiana University's College of Optometry. During his college athletic career, he excelled in fencing, earning numerous accolades, including Southern California Intercollegiate Fencing Champion, First Team All-Conference, and NCAA All-American (ranked fifth in the nation).

Dr. Hamada is highly respected in his field, serving as an 'Expert Examiner' for the California Board of Optometry and the 'Supervising Examiner' for the National Board of Examiners clinical skills exam. He is also board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease and glaucoma, and serves as a clinical investigator and consultant in the contact lens industry. Additionally, Dr. Hamada is the clinical preceptor for Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Salus University.

Dr. Hamada has a strong passion for helping athletes achieve their full potential. To this end, he has established the Sports Vision Center of Excellence at Surf City Optometry, and serves as the eye doctor for several U.S. National, Professional, and Olympic Teams. He has had the privilege of working with some of the biggest names in sports, but is equally dedicated to helping athletes of all ages and abilities.

In his free time, Dr. Hamada enjoys staying active by playing basketball, traveling (particularly to Hawaii, where his parents are from), gardening, and spending time with his family.
