Fellowship of Sports Vision Professionals
Sports Vision Pros, LLC wants to make sure that everyone has the ability to learn about the role of vision in performance. We also recognize that many want to learn more and be recognized for this extra investment in a passion and need for our athletes. Because of this we have developed to levels of recognition - Certification and Fellowship.
Certification in Sports Vision Professionals Academy
Certification in Sports Vision Professionals Academy (https://svpacademy.thinkific.com/) will be granted upon completion of the online academy Parts 1, 2, and 3. All Tests must be passed with a grade of 80%.
Upon completion, you will receive a certificate and be listed (optional) on the Sports Vision Professionals Academy page.
Fellow of Sports Vision Professionals - FSVP
Fellowship will be granted in the Sports Vision Professionals Academy by completing the SVP certification as well as satisfying both the practical and scholarly requirements.
Fellows in good standing will be authorized to use the FSVP designation in their title or Curriculum Vitae.
Practical component
Candidates must attend and pass a 4-hour live* Sports Vision Professionals Academy practical training course. This course will teach the practical and hands-on application of vision assessment and training. Multiple analog and digital platforms will be used and metrics for success will be continually emphasized. Implementation of techniques and specifics of athlete compliance will be reviewed for all platforms.
*Virtual courses may be available due to COVID restrictions or other opportunities
Course Schedule
One course is typically offered at the National Athletic Trainers Association Annual meeting.
A second rotating live course will be offered annually at a location to be determined.
Other courses may be offered depending on needs.
Scholarly Component
Satisfy one of the following scholarly activities
1. Publish a vision performance-related article in a peer-reviewed publication
For example – the Journal of Sports and Performance Vision.
2. Present a case report involving vision performance (Formats listed below)

3. Publish research involving vision performance
This can be done through print or video.
Must be on a mass media platform and open access to the public.
Upon satisfactory completion of SVPA Certification and both practical and scholarly components, the applicant will be allowed to use the FSVP designation as long as they stay in good standing with the Sports Vision Professionals Academy.
To remain in good standing, Fellows must maintain membership and take a one-hour update course each year.
Time Limits
If the fellowship process is initiated, the SPVA certification must have been completed in the last 5 years. Once the Fellowship process is initiated all components of fellowship must be completed within 36 months of the initiation.

Application Process for Fellowship
Fellowship can be applied for once the Sports Vision Professionals Academy Certification is achieved with a 80% passing score.

A fee of $100 is required to submit your application
You have 3 years to complete the practical and scholarly component from time of notifying Sports Vision Pros.
Upon successful completion of the scholarly component, you will need to continue the fellowship process through your assigned liaison.
Fellowship will be granted upon payment of your first annual dues and completion of annual update course.
