Dr. Graham Erickson

Dr. Graham Erickson received his Bachelor's degree from Pacific University in 1988, and later earned his optometry degree from the same institution in 1990. He completed a residency in pediatric optometry and vision therapy at the Southern California College of Optometry in 1991.
Since 1998, Dr. Erickson has been a faculty member at Pacific University, where he currently teaches courses on pediatric optometry, vision therapy, and sports vision. He is a diplomate of the Binocular Vision and Perception section of the American Academy of Optometry and a fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
Dr. Erickson is the author of "Sports Vision: Vision Care for the Enhancement of Sports Performance", the only resource available for both students learning about the field and practitioners seeking a deeper understanding and application of sports vision. He has also co-authored the text "Optometric Management of Reading Dysfunction" and published articles and chapters in various optometric journals. He frequently lectures on topics such as sports vision, pediatrics, binocular vision, and dyslexia at conferences both nationally and internationally.
In addition to his teaching and writing pursuits, Dr. Erickson has served as the chair of the Binocular Vision, Perception, and Pediatric Optometry section of the American Academy of Optometry, the chair of the American Optometric Association Sports Vision Section council, and is currently the Oregon director for the Special Olympics Lions Club International Opening Eyes vision health program.
In his free time, Dr. Erickson enjoys spending time with his family, running, skiing, backpacking, playing music, and traveling.
