Contact Lenses Types
There are many different types of contact lenses. Therefore, we strongly recommend talking with your eye care provider about which one is best for your sport or activity.
Your eyes' health costs more than the time you spend visiting your eye care provider ❤️
Contact lenses types are based on:
👁 Lens material
👁 Wear schedule
👁 Replacement schedule
👁 The visual demands of the sport or activity
The above lenses are used for correcting vision. However, there are other specialty lens types used for different purposes:
👁 Hybrid: for patients who have keratoconus, astigmatism, or irregular cornea.
👁 Ortho-K lenses are used as a temporary correction for myopia or to slow myopia.
👁 Scleral lenses are used as a therapeutic tool for patients with the ocular surface disease.
👁 Tinted Contact lenses - whether they are Transitions or contacts tinted specifically for sport
👁 Cosmetic lenses are a great choice for those who want to change the look of their eyes.
